Nasir Ali
Nasir Ali was spending 18 hours a week at the hospital undergoing kidney dialysis as his kidneys had suddenly failed four months earlier. The head of Pakistan Kidney Institute Dr. Saeed Akhtar, performed the transplant, freeing Nasir Ali of his three-times-a-week dialysis regimen.
Kaiser Rashid A 28 year old male, married for 1 year was admitted with critically high blood pressure and general body swelling.Blood in urine was also traced in labs. He is the oldest out 10 brothers and sister. he worked as an electrician but had to leave his job due to severe illness.He was clinically diagnosed with renal failure and underwent removal of both kidneys. his successful transplant was done on Novemeber 19th, 2007. His younger sister of 18 years age donated her kidney for his transplant. He was discharged once he was stable and now visits regularly on medical follow ups.
Sehrish
A 6 ½ year-old girl, from a broken family, where the father has abandoned the family, with almost no financial support. Suddenly diagnosed with Renal failure after 1 month of repeated vomiting and fever. Admitted with B/L Renal Stones, which were removed and stents (tubes) inserted to keep the ureters patent.
