Initial Rapid Relief Activities at DG Khan

 
 

Difficulties:

  • Poor condition of roads and tracks for supply of relief items to our remote area which is 50 km away from DHQ D.G.Khan.

  • Security risk

  • Unavailability of computer and internet facilities

  • Life jackets are not available for volunteers

  • People are not willing to live in collective camps

  • Conveyance problem

  • Unavailability of labor as the people are too busy to look after their patients, cattle and displaced families.

Activities Completed.

  • 2 medical camps attending 200 plus patients daily.

  • One month food for 150 families.

  • Installation of hand pumps for water.

  • Distribution of 50 bags of vanda (animal food).

  • Mosquito nets = 220

  • Mosquito repellent oil = 388

  • Medicine for malaria.

  • Bath soap/Washing soap.
