Initial Rapid Relief Activities at DG Khan
Difficulties:
Poor condition of roads and tracks for supply of relief items to our remote area which is 50 km away from DHQ D.G.Khan.
Security risk
Unavailability of computer and internet facilities
Life jackets are not available for volunteers
People are not willing to live in collective camps
Conveyance problem
Unavailability of labor as the people are too busy to look after their patients, cattle and displaced families.
Activities Completed.
2 medical camps attending 200 plus patients daily.
One month food for 150 families.
Installation of hand pumps for water.
Distribution of 50 bags of vanda (animal food).
Mosquito nets = 220
Mosquito repellent oil = 388
Medicine for malaria.
Bath soap/Washing soap.
